A New Computer at last!

I finally did it. After months and months of research, pondering, making decisions and changing my mind, I finally purchased a new computer. The winner..... the new MacBook Pro. Yes- not only a new computer but also a new platform. Now I have no excuses for posting, well almost no excuses. I am realizing that there is going to be a learning curve in my transition from PC to Mac but so far I am learning to navigate. I am working my way through iPhotos and for a time will be without my Photoshop program.

I had a Stampin' Up! meeting today and while I was at work I gave my family the assignment to go to the Ft Lauderdale beach and take photos that I can work with in iPhoto and also use in a Fall scrapbook that I am working on.

Here is my first photo upload, edit and post

Happy Friday everyone! I started this card three days ago and planned on entering it in a Stamper's challenge but as I worked on the card my original idea changed and before I knew it I no longer was adhering to the rules of the challenge. Oh well... I hope you like how it turned out. The stamp I used is Tilda holding Marguerettes and the paper is from Stampin' Up! I used Copic markers and colored pencils with Gamsol to color the image . The ribbon came from my collection.

I am Copic Marker Certified!

Look at the new banner on my blog. I am a Copic Certified Designer! Two weeks ago I attended the Copic Marker certification class at CHA in Orlando and this means that I can now officially teach Copic Marker classes. This has been a goal of mine ever since I discovered these wonderful markers over one year ago. Look for my Copic 101 class announcement in the next few days.

Sleepy Time Riley

Posted by Picasa

This is Sleepy Time Riley. I had so much fun making this card! I colored Riley with colored pencils using Gamsol and paper stumps. It is a wonderful technique in which you can really control the amount of color that you apply. I wanted this card to have a very "soft" look. The layers of this card are are adhered with stampin' dimensionals.

Here is the recipe:
Stamp: Sleepy Time Riley
Cardstock: Textured White , Chocolate Chip and Whisper White from Stampin' Up! Riley is stamped on Cougar Opaque Cardstock
Ink: Black
Technique: Color Pencils and Gamsol
Accessories: Dew Drops, Photo Corners punch and ribbon from Stampin' Up!
